The Most Fascinating One: Kali Maa
This piece of artwork is inspired by the divine mother the 'ADISHAKTI' in one of many manifestation known as RudraKali. In most of her depiction she is shown as fierce and in dark blue/black colour in nakedness with skull garland around her neck and wearing snakes as armlet . She is often described and shown in her eternal cosmic strength and extensive power of destruction. Her naked body describes her purity in natural form and unadulterated appearance signifies non attachment to materialistic things. She is the most compassionate form of the goddess and provides salvation and liberation to the seeker. Kali along with the Shiva is the  destroyer of evil fake, unreal and ego.
Her wrathful appearance is only received by those who are attached to their ego. However once the illusion of ego is removed and one is more attuned to spirituality Kali appears as sweet, affectionate overflowing with perplexing love to her devotees.
Kali is beyond the concepts of colour, form, light, dark, good , bad as she is pure energy.

I am most fascinated by this Hindu goddess so I panted this shield display of RudraKali.
