So true and beautifully put :)
“Artists are some of the most driven and courageous people on the face of the earth. They deal with more day to day rejection in one year than most people do in a lifetime. Every day, artists face the financial challenge of living a freelance lifestyle, the disrespect of people who think they should get ‘real’ jobs, and their own fear that they’ll never work again. Every day they have to ignore the possibility that the vision to which they have dedicated their lives is a pipe dream. With every passing year, many of them watch as other people their age; achieve the predictable milestones of normal life - the car, the family, the house, the nest egg. But they stay true to their dream, in spite of the sacrifices. Why? Because artists are willing to give their entire lives to a moment - to that line, that laugh, that gesture, or that interpretation that will stir the audience’s soul. Artists are beings who have tasted life’s nectar in that crystal moment when they poured out their creative spirit and touched another heart. In that instant, they were as close to magic, God and perfection as anyone could ever be. And in their own hearts, they know that to dedicate oneself to that moment is worth a thousand lifetimes.”

                             Hand Painted Shoes
I started to paint shoes because I was bored with the regular look of my sneakers so thought I will zing it up a bit by painting something on them. The first pair was experiment to test out the best possible paint that will support the wear and tear of the weather here in London.
It all started when someone asked where I bought them from? And when I told they are hand painted  by me they asked if could make it for them. So initially it was just the canvas shoes I started and gradually I moved to boots, ballerina and other stuff. Out of all my products these hold very special place in my heart.
What's the better way to take your art along wherever you go!These are pure eyecandy for shoe lovers. Enjoy...:)

The Most Fascinating One: Kali Maa
This piece of artwork is inspired by the divine mother the 'ADISHAKTI' in one of many manifestation known as RudraKali. In most of her depiction she is shown as fierce and in dark blue/black colour in nakedness with skull garland around her neck and wearing snakes as armlet . She is often described and shown in her eternal cosmic strength and extensive power of destruction. Her naked body describes her purity in natural form and unadulterated appearance signifies non attachment to materialistic things. She is the most compassionate form of the goddess and provides salvation and liberation to the seeker. Kali along with the Shiva is the  destroyer of evil fake, unreal and ego.
Her wrathful appearance is only received by those who are attached to their ego. However once the illusion of ego is removed and one is more attuned to spirituality Kali appears as sweet, affectionate overflowing with perplexing love to her devotees.
Kali is beyond the concepts of colour, form, light, dark, good , bad as she is pure energy.

I am most fascinated by this Hindu goddess so I panted this shield display of RudraKali.

What really keeps the creative ideas rolling?

The mix of must have to be creative in my case are; idea should be fun first of all to do, usually or initially when I start talking  about such ideas to family and friends I am positive that they sound silly or non practical to them. But I guess a whole lot of madness is what helps to generate these wonderful crazy designs.
The craving to build something different, something fun and something that I would love to have in my home and thats what drives me to keeping going and creating these products.

So today I thought I will put up some of the crazy stuff I designed few months back. Enjoy!
