Highs of an Exhibition
Well being part of an exhibition the biggest high is to meet
fellow artists. To know there are others like you equally talented and hardworking. To feel their spunk and spirit doubles that of yours.
And when the show is about street art where people from all
walks of life mingle together on the same platform it just becomes unrivalled
experience. So much to share and so much to learn.
When I paint I am just in my own zone , disconnected to any
other thing around me. However it all changes if the painting is done at a
public place where you get live audience interactions and appreciation for your
work. The feeling can't be compared to anything else.
All across the globe street art has never been more popular
or relevant. As most of the time it is associated with graffiti, there is much
more to street art like yarn bombing, sculptures, stickers, paste-ups' to name
a few.
I participated in one of the show recently in Nottingham and can say it was one of the best shows I
have seen. Such a blast with young children performing street dance, live
paintings made even when the weather refused to cooperate, live music and a
gallery filled with art work from ceiling to floor.
